The Algarve is the southermost region in Portugal and stretches approximately (100 miles) along its beautiful coastline of golden sandy beaches from it’s Westernmost tip in Sagres across to the Spanish province of Andalusia. Recognised initially as a historically ancient province by the era of famous voyagers including Henry the Navigator, Bartolomeu Dias and Vasco da Gama who set off on their discoveries from this territory, it is undoubtedly the regions weather, that has attracted the hundreds and thousands of visitors towards the easy-going, laid back lifestyle which the Algarve offers.
The mild climate, starting with the fall of the almond blossom in the former part of the year which signals the beginnings of longer warmer months to follow and the mellow characteristics of the local people that have shaped the appeal against the rat race faced back home. The locals seem almost disconcerted with the expansion of some of Europe’s most expensive and refined residential and holiday developments.
The area known as the ‘Golden Triangle’ is the center of the Algarve, only twenty minutes drive from Faro International airport. The triangle incorporates several of the most exclusive property developments, including Quinta do Lago, Vale do Lobo. Renowned for their manicured golf courses, sophisticated cuisine, stretches of golden beaches and a variety of entertainment facilities, the area is a heaven offering all the ingredients to enjoy a truly luxurious lifestyle.
